Magnesium is among the lightest structural metals available, with capacity to replace traditional alloys in mass-saving applications while still providing increased stiffness and strength. The inclusion of reinforcing components into metallic matrix has a substantial impact on stiffness, specific strength, wear behaviour, damping creep properties when compared typical engineering materials. Due their outstanding physical mechanical characteristics along low density, magnesium metal composites are viable materials for numerous applications. This study discusses how choose an appropriate technique its process parameters synthesising magnesium-based (MMCs) gives overview impacts various reinforcements alloys, emphasising benefits drawbacks. essential MMCs also critically examined this article. reinforcement microstructure as well thoroughly examined.
